Vision will become clearer by suryanamaskaram
Yogasanas assure youthfulness, clear thinking and sharp vision. The quality of our work improves a lot with yogasanas. Dr. Himeshwari talks at length about the yogasanas and their benefits.
Q: What yogasanas do you suggest for a problem-free and healthy spinal cord?
A: Gas problems create pain at joints. Bhujangasana, ukkadasana and marjariasana can be practiced to deal with problems arising out of gas problem or insufficient blood circulation to the spinal cord. To avoid constipation, vegetables and greens that are fiber-rich should be included in our diet liberally. Sprouts are also rich in fiber.
Marjari asanam
Start in four point kneeling pose, (knees under hips, hands under shoulders) with the spine in neutral position. Then raise your back slowly upward, moving the head downward. Then, place both your hands on the floor and stand like an animal (cat pose). Then, bend your back downward and raise your head. While raising your back, lower the head, vice versa. While lowering the head, your chest should also be lowered. This asana should be done slowly. It improves blood circulation. Ukkadasana strengthens the spinal cord.
Q: What asanas you recommend for those with heart problems?
A: Breathing exercise is very good for all. Along with it, joint exercises can also be done. Those with palpitation problem can take the powder of marutham pattai with hot water. Steam-cooked food is very good for these people. Also, masala and pulses should be taken at the minimum because they take a longer time for digestion. Constipation will lead to gas problems. Breathing exercise corrects blood circulation as it improves digestion. Heart specialist and yoga specialist should be consulted to know what yogasanas can be practiced.
Q: Some people get problems in vision even before they are forty. What yogasana you recommend for this?
A:Suryanamaskaram is very good. There are twelve asnas in suryanamaskaram. It is better to learn them from a yoga master. There are eye exercises to improve vision. Fresh food is good. Liver will become weaker if overloaded with work. This will lead to problems in the eyes. It is good to prostrate before the sun in the wee hours of the day. Oily food should be avoided.
Q: Many people have pain at the joints. What is the solution?
A:They should do exercises for joints. They should concentrate on the joints while doing the exercises because thoughts have so much power. These exercises improve blood circulation. Bhavana muktasana dissipates the gas in the stomach. Those who are over weight or have digestive problems or diabetes get joint pain. They should avoid pulses and those dishes that have sour taste. Fiber rich items should be taken liberally. Root vegetables, pulses and rice should be taken at the minimum. Vegetables should be included liberally. Bhujankasanam, vajrasanam, sakthi bhandanasanam, dhanurasanam are good.
Bhavana muktasanam
