The youths were spellbound on seeing the sage levitating at a height of 4 ft

It was neither a hamlet nor a town. The population of the area is around 8,000. Agriculture is the main occupation of the people there. There’s a big papal tree near a big tank. And, there’s also a Vinayaka statue as is found in any other place. But no abhishek or aaradhana is done. A few come there, light lamps and offer jaggery as nivedhana. One day, a sage came there and sat on the mound near the temple. He was sitting with his eyes closed. He was not carrying a bowl in his hand. He was fair skinned. His identity was not known. People who came to the tank wondered among themselves whether he was a sage or saint. Four days passed by. He was still doing meditation. People started offering him food, fruits, milk and water. But he didn’t touch them. Also, strangely, the things he had brought along with him did not decay or got reduced! When people noticed this, they realized that he must be a sage. Then, they put up a roof over his head to protect him from sunlight and rains. News spread to nearby places and people started thronging the place.

Three youths belonging to this place threw the fruits that were offered to him into the tank during midnight with the bad intention of damaging his credibility and name. They emptied the vessels that contained water. And, they stole the money from the hundi that was kept near him. When those youths came again in the next day morning, they were stunned to see the things that were thrown away by them remaining in tact at the place before the sage! The hundi also remained sealed! The youths came again in the night to do some mischief. But they were all spellbound at the sight of the sage levitating at a height of 4 ft. from the floor of the mound. Four cobras were there as his security, moving with a hissing sound. The youths heard a voice from the sky – “You had raped and killed innocent girls and had thrown them into the tank, tying big stones to their body. Also, you had threatened people at knife point and snatched money from them. Your parents had helped you escape from punishment using their political influence. Today, you are going to reap the results of your sins. The father of the first man is going to get paralytic attack now.
